Atlantic air. Dramatic Kerry cliffs. Wildlife on the water.
See the Skellig Coast from the sea.
Rising from the wild Atlantic like an ancient pyramid, Skellig Michael has drawn pilgrims, monks, and adventurers for fifteen hundred years. J.J. Abrams brought Luke Skywalker here. Now it calls you.
Atlantic air, dramatic Kerry coastline, wildlife watching and Skellig views on clear days — without landing on the islands. Scenic, honest, and something guests actually remember.

Atlantic cliffs, wild Kerry coastline, dolphins, puffins and Skellig views on clear days. No climbing. No landing. All ages welcome.
Wildlife sightings, Skellig views and route are subject to sea conditions and weather. This cruise does not land on any island.
Paul Devane has been running boats out of Portmagee Marina for over two decades. He knows these waters — the tides, the rocks, the weather windows, the wildlife corridors. He knows when to go and when to stay.
When you step aboard, you're not just booking a boat trip. You're going out with someone who has made this journey hundreds of times and knows exactly where to look, what to listen for, and how to make the Atlantic come alive for everyone on board.
Every image taken on board or on the rock itself. This is what awaits you.

"The Atlantic doesn't offer passage lightly. You earn the island — eight miles of open ocean between you and one of the most extraordinary places on earth." The Crossing — Portmagee to Skellig Michael
Departing Portmagee Marina — following the Kerry cliffs around Bray Head, Puffin Island and the Skellig Ring coastline
"There is no ocean more alive than this one. And no rock more ancient, more remote, or more worth reaching."
After experiencing the 660+ step climb to the top of this mountain, you can truly understand why Abrams selected Skellig Michael for the concluding scenes of Star Wars. Pictures and words cannot adequately describe the sheer magnitude or beauty of this special place.
Seeing a minke whale and dolphins on the way out — magical. The skipper was so interesting. An absolute must. Our wee terrier was even invited along on the Coastal Cruise.
Skellig Michael is one of those unique places that if you close your eyes after you visit it, you will again be transported back there. Do not miss it.
The Atlantic is unpredictable even in summer. Wear windproof, waterproof layers regardless of the forecast. Comfortable flat shoes are fine — no climbing involved. All ages and abilities are welcome on board.
